“Spread the word” means to tell many people some kind of information.

“Spread the word” の意味は、何か情報を大勢の人に伝えること。

A: Hey, what are you doing on Saturday?

A: おい、土曜日何してるー?

B: No plans, why?

B: 特に, 何で?

A: We’re having a fundraiser for the football team, and then a party after.

You should come!

A: 俺ら、サッカーチームのために募金集めして, その後飲み会するんだよ.

来いよ!

B: OK, sounds great! Can I bring my friends?

B: いいねー！友達連れてっていい?

A: Yeah, of course. We want as many people as possible. Spread the word!

A: もちろん。 大勢のほうが楽しいからね。 みんなに知らせて!

B: OK, I’ll send out a group message on Facebook.

B: はいよー、フェイスブックでみんなにしらせるよ！
