校長と教師の会話中、“話題を提案すること”を英語で言い回し

Hello こんにちは！

今日のイディオム は to “bring up”でーす！

To “bring up” means to mention, to introduce a topic.

To “bring up” の意味は、話・話題を提案すること。

ー 小学校の校長と教師の会話 ー

A: I saw you out on the sport field with your class today.

A: 今日、校庭で授業をしてましたね。

B: Oh yes, the children were happy that you were watching them play.

B: はい、校長先生も見ていてくださったので、みんな喜んでましたよ。

A: It looked like a fun game. But I did notice that many of the children weren’t wearing their sports uniforms.

A: 楽しそうなゲームでしたね。

でも、みんな体操着に着替えてなかったようですが。

B: I was going to bring that up with you…many of them keep forgetting to bring their sports uniforms to school.

B: 校長に話そうと思ったのですが、みんな体操着持ってくるの忘れちゃうんですよ。

A: OK, we’ll need to ask the parents to help remind them to bring it.

Let’s bring it up at the parent/teacher meeting tomorrow.

A: そーですね。保護者の皆さんにご協力いただきましょう。

明日のPTAの会議に話題として持ち出しましょう。
